(extra) WEEK 3. What can we learn from a breaching experiment?

 A breaching experiment is experiment that study people's reactions to violating general social rules and concepts. People's reactions to the offense were generally negative. People are uncomfortable and unpleasant to behave in violation. Irving Goffman presents the perspective that our daily life is like a performance in which we interact with others on the stage of the world and direct our self. So, we've found that people are trying to avoid embarrassing themselves or making others suffer because of their social interaction. I learned about the reasons why I do not violate.
