What symbols do we see, and how do they influence our behavior?
In everyday life, we are
influenced by various symbols. First, suppose you saw a four-leaf clover while
taking a walk. A four-leaf clover is a symbol of good luck. We will be happy
all day looking forward to unexpected luck. On the contrary, let's say you saw
a crow. Since ancient times, crows have been said to imply ominous signs. So it
was used as a device that bad things would happen to books or movies. We'll be
nervous. As such, symbols affect our daily lives a lot. Therefore, it is used
in various fields such as linguistics or psychoanalysis, psychology,
anthropology or sociology, aesthetics, art or religion. However, much research
is needed because the degree and method of using symbols to explore, recognize,
and express the world or to work in the world depends on society and culture.
