Week 1 extra) Why are you taking this class?

  I once studied sociology to take a test to enter university. But when I entered the university, there was a difference from the sociology I knew. In addition, I decided to take this class because it is a class where I can learn by combining my daily life and sociology.

What practical skills do you expect to gain from attending it?

I want to learn practical sociology. I want to put sociology in my head that can be useful anytime, anywhere.

The Interaction Assignment. What did you do? What did you learn? Was it fun?  I conducted a Breaching experiment for project 1. I was in a situation where I couldn't carry out my observations face-to-face. So I did an experiment using Kakao Talk, and this was the difference from Goffman. I broke the promise of my relationship with my friend through Kakao Talk. I replied coldly and badly to my friend(participant), who always exchanged friendly words. And my friend thought I had a complaint or something was wrong. It was the same view that Goffman looked at individuals who broke the rules in society. It was the first observation experiment, and the process of organizing the experiment was not easy. Also, it was hard to read English books, understand the contents, and do an experiment.
