W4. Extra ) What is drama?
The drama Goffman explains is the totality of all the situations around him. So even if you are angry, you can end up smiling, and you can end up with a good but sad ending. Because the situation is constantly changing and affected by various factors. Just as the difference between front stage and back stage behavior has a big impact on the drama.
Therefore, understanding of various factors is necessary to understand drama. In fact, it is the same logic that we need to know the characters and the plot to understand the TV drama we watch.
To understand the situation of drama in our lives, we need to know what role the people around us play, what role is given to me, and how I belong to which team and how I interact. Understanding these factors will ultimately lead to understanding the situation I'm doing. That's the drama.
