It is said that the origin of the yellow ribbon was that the wife or family of a husband who participated in the war in the United States waited in the hope of tying the yellow ribbon to a tree and returning safely.
As everyone in Korea knows, when a missing person from the Ferry Sewol sinking accident occurred, it meant wishing for a safe return by marking a yellow ribbon on SNS messages or wearing a ribbon badge.
In Korea, there was a yellow ribbon movement in 2005 to pray for the safe return of North and South Koreans.
It is said that the yellow ribbon was also used as a symbol of resistance in the Hong Kong pro-democracy movement.
There is also a song called 'tie a yellow ribbon round the ole oak tree', so it would be nice to listen to it.

Next, I wrote some lyrics of the song. I think it would be good to read it once in a while, so I share it!

Whoa, tie a yellow ribbon 'round the ole oak tree It's been three long years Do you still want me? (still want me?) If I don't see a ribbon 'round the ole oak tree I'll stay on the bus Forget about us Put the blame on me If I don't see a yellow ribbon 'round the ole oak tree
...

If you wonder all lyrics, search on internet! You can find easily!
