Week 1 Extra: What is the relation between Wikipedia and collective intelligence?

Wikipedia is an online encyclopedia launched in 2001 with direct user participation. Anyone who can use the Internet can write freely. About 200 languages are spoken around the world, and the Korean version of Wikipedia started in 2002. Anyone can correct an error in another person's post.

Collective intelligence is the collective ability that results from intellectual ability. In other words, it is the intellectual result that a large number of people get from cooperating, cooperating, or competing with each other. We can sometimes solve problems and make new discoveries by the power of a group. All of that can be called collective intelligence.

Wikipedia is also an example of collective intelligence. With Wikipedia, many people can gain insight into specific topics and acquire new knowledge. Wikipedia requires other users to correct the information if it is wrong. Because there are many people, not alone, you can correct what is wrong, and therefore, it can be considered collective intelligence.
