Project 4.  Extra credit assignment script

If you look at various advertisements, you can often see women advertising products by commercializing them. One example is the most controversial advertisement in Korea called 'Beskin Robbins 31. Baskin Robbins 31 is an ice cream commercial that does not need to be emphasized by women or women's aesthetic elements at all. However, the commercial model was commercialized by using a 13-year-old girl as an advertising model, close-up of dark makeup and lips, and wearing a rather short outfit. Through this advertisement, an indirect message emphasizing makeup or aesthetic elements was delivered to children and was criticized for advertising the product in a completely unrelated manner.

As I said earlier, the advertisement imprinted young children's perceptions of "be pretty" and "makeup from an early age." And through the advertising model that was seen like that, the image of a girl was more imprinted in the wrong direction for boys. The concept of beauty was misrecognized from an early age by a close-up of the pretty, decorative, and pink lips. And it has become an advertisement that can give false perception to adult men. By not seeing children as children and recognizing them as "pretty women" and "grown women," it has become an advertisement that gives direction for bad thoughts. There have been a lot of serious crimes against actual girls, and this advertisement would never have had a small impact on motivating them.

By setting up a young girl as an advertising model in a totally unrelated advertisement, it provided an incentive for viewers to create false perceptions, and the commercial was quickly criticized and stopped running due to the wrong frame on the advertising model. At one time, however, this advertisement generated enough repercussions to cover a lot of news, and not only in this commercial but also in other commercials, it is often seen as a sex commercialization for women or young girls. They know they intend to draw more consumers' attention through advertising, but even if such negative frames can have such an effect, it will be criticism and criticism that will eventually come back. We have to watch and produce advertisements more carefully on these points.
