Week 3-1(Mon) -1.What's the meaning of Yellow Ribbon?

What's the meaning of Yellow Ribbon?

The meaning of yellow ribbons in Korea, especially those living in this era, is 'Condolence'. It is a tribute to the victims of the April 16, 2014, Ferry Sewol disaster, meaning sorry for the government's complacent response, and meaning that it will not forget and remember.

The yellow ribbon is uploaded as a badge and a post to many people's impressions on April 16 every year, given that it is still unknown whose fault it was, no compensation for the disaster, and an apology, and it was not even able to recover all the bodies.

Through this lecture, I learned that the meaning of 'yellow ribbon' is shared by other countries, with other meanings. I've never thought about it before. It is a kind of amazing thing that people all over the world would be remembered in different meanings, whether yellow ribbons meant joy or sadness.
