What is a drama? Please try to describe theater as if you were explaining this concept to a person who never heard of it.


Drama is a series of actions performed by a person or group of people in a space in front of the audience. This has constituted a performance. The drama only needs to add a meaningful expression and a certain length of performance in this process.

The actors in the drama use their rich body and demeanor to show their characters and emotions. Unlike TV dramas that can constantly NG, the drama has only one live opportunity, so it needs stronger emotional rendering ability and on-site control ability.

An actor in a drama is like everyone in real life. Everyone cannot exist as a "pure" individual in society. He must have various relationships with his surrounding environment and other people. Society and other people in society will have a recognized expectation for each social role, and this expectation will demand those who assume this role. As a result, we were forced to stand on stage and play role-plays one by one, and then we could only count as a curtain call when we returned home and entered a private space.

Therefore, I think that drama is a reflection and simulation of life in the process of human development.

  I had an Interaction Assignment activity with my companion and observed the responses of pedestrians on the road. Through the observations and reflections of Goffman's theory, we find that "no matter what the specific goal an individual has in his mind or what the motivation for achieving it, his interest is always to control the behavior of others, especially the reactions of others to him."This control will be achieved primarily by a restriction that affects others gradually, and he can express himself in some way by giving others an impression that he will lead others to act on their own will."This is what we call impression management. The process of human communication is the process in which people perform "self", but this "self" is not the real self, but the "self" dressed up in symbolic disguise.

What's the front of a TV idol?

I think TV idol has very different image in front and back stage. Many of them can't show their difficulty or tiredness in front of the camera, because of the image. Many people call that 'professionalism'. Like dancing in the rain in the concert or on the TV show regard of health problem. Also, they have to be on makeup or wear a fancy clothes all the time in front of the camera or in the show. They can be shoot anytime.  Normal people don't do like this. Most people are rest in their home when they are tired or have a health issues. And not everyone be on a makeup all the time. Because everyone don't mind about them. But TV idols are different. They have to be perfect in front of the camera. So, I think the front stage of TV idols is all the time when they are in front of the cameras.
